another criticism of the book is he kills of way too many of the main characters,its better when you connect to the protagonist, not have him/her dead
That's good for the first 100,000 shows/movies, but once in a while it's neat to see main characters die sporadically to remind us of their mortality.
The books are really good though and I enjoyed them.
One cool aspect I didn't see mentioned yet is that there are little details that give away things that would otherwise go unnoticed (this is mainly for devoted readers or those that will go back and re-read to catch things they missed the first time)
