I'm also currently in the middle of reading The Count--it is NOTHING like the movie at all. There is NO possible way any movie could capture all the plot lines that are going through it--I'm enjoying it a lot.

mmm its gonna start gettin good in about 100 pages. you'll love what albert and monte cristo are about to do. i'd say one of the two climaxes of the story is comin up; the other being when M. Morrel was about to shoot himself

this is a great story smile.gif takes place a bit in my hometown so i gotta like it though tongue.gif
do you read it in english ? i suggest you to try the french edition ( if you can read french ofc ^^' ) because the dumas style can be appreciated way better in its original shape ( no offense to translaters or any kind of jingoism but fact is when translated books tend to lose some of their spirit, ive seen it with english books translated into french aswell )

Who's read the count of monte cristo. I must say, although it seems that it never it ends. its one of the best books i've ever read. I havn't seen the movie and currently on about page 750. and i must say, goodness, i love it. On of the best plots i've ever seen. I love how all the characters are slowly introduced and then intertwined.
Please discuss WITHOUT spoilers plx. i just wanna see your guys' imput on the book.
