Didn't hear this before. She's pretty young, and unless she's sick, she'd have to reason to worry about other ppl continuing her books. In any case, she can't protect that from happneing anyway: the best she could do is to buy out the right for a while, hope her family or someone else will take them over, and so on...but in the end at some point in time someone could continue her books by writing sequels.

well in halfblood prince many died..mainly dumbeldore.soo im awaiting the next one, crazy, that my fourth grade theacher read me the very first harry potter book, and i have read them since.

i think harry will die so they cant call the series "harry potter" after she quits. maybe theyll call it the weasleys. or a spinoff about hagrid.

I don't see why people think whatever happens is going to be a marketing strategy, or a way to stop other writers from working in her world.

I think she's been working toward pretty much the same ending from the start, and she probably wants out of the limelight by now, so she's not going to keep writing after her tale is told.
