Didn't a WOT book just come out like within the last 2 weeks?

Yeah, it did. Written by Brandon Sanderson. It's not bad at all, ties up a lot of loose ends.

I'm a typical starting fantasy book reader; R.A. Salvatore is my favourite

question #1 cuz you seem to be in love with him ;)

is the newest WOT coming out anytime soon? i know they were getting a ghost writer to finish something or other, but i dont know what happened after that,

and #2, obviously Salvatore Is the Bomb, But you really need to start reading some stuff by New authors who havnt been around forever., There is so much potential in some new authors Like Robin Hobb
and you cant forget the wonderful Elizabeth Hayden

Vouch :) Robin Hobb got talent :) The Farseer Trilogy is very good, Liveship Traders Trilogy is a little worse. But one of my favorites fantasy author is R.A. Salvatore... you need to read his books if you want to feel this fantasy world :D And Guen rox :D

Oh and Terry Pratchett - but thats another kind of fantasy - for sure not for everyone ;)

Frank Herbert ( alot of science fiction mixed with Fantasy )
the prequel books have sorcerors and strange creatures eg. Half man/ half fish , Half man / half beast
magic in it too, people teleporting, and moving at the speed of light, and lots of telepathy
