The books were a bit repetitive, but they were still enjoyable... if not predictable ^^

I read twilight in detention... it was without a cover or anything... I had no clue what it was about, and had never heard of it before. This was about a year ago. I really liked it, and proceeded to read all the books after. Once this movie came out though, and all these people went fuckin' nuts.. it's lost all it's appeal.

Stephen King:
"The real difference is that Jo Rowling is a terrific writer and Stephenie Meyer can't write worth a damn," he said. "She's not very good."

I never read the Twilight books, but I have heard from several people who have that this is the truth. I hear it's very childish in style.

In summary, Meyer wrote this book for a tween girl demographic who like to imagine they're smart because they've read a thick book.

Meyers tosses in long words and says the book is enjoyable for all ages.

The first books draws some suspense, but other than that the entire series was lack luster.

There seemed to be a lot of holes in the relationships of characters.

E.g. some things they did were completely illogical and I couldn't image it happening in real life.

Not to mention that the plot of the series relies on the "love" between Bella and Edward, when what they have together is completely superficial.

E.g. Bella is infatuated by Edward only because of his super natural good looks (clearly demonstrated every 2 1/2 pages) and Edward falls for Bella because she is his blood singer.

That's my rant / critique.

Ok so a bunch of emo chicks came up to me and said "omg have you ever heard of twilight" And I dindn't so they gave me the book and....in my opinion...it sucked. I have never read anything so....lame in my life. It was like a romance novel for emo's looking for a new trend to start. It's gotten so popular that girls in my school are wearing vampire teeth and those weird eye contacts. That's just my 2 cents.

LOL.
That is just your school.
In my opinion the book was one of the top 5 on my list.
And there are like a total of 3 retarded bitches in my school who are actually imagining Edward Cullen as their pillows and fucking it.
A romance novel for emo?
Wow. It has nothing to be with being emo.
I'm the furthest thing from that.

Books were better than the movie.
Movie the romance part of it was a lot more played up than it seemed to be in the books
