terry goodkind has a good series called, the sword of truth, im on my 5th of 8 novels and i think they are gg

The 9th book came out not that long ago, atleast i think it's the 9th anyway.

The OP seems to have missed out on the 2 best fantasy writers IMO though. George RR Martin (Song of Ice and Fire series) and Steven Erikson (Malazan Book of the Fallen series).
The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch also deserves a mention here.
Out of the ones mentioned i'd vote for Robert Jordan though, his work is imo far better than any of the others listed.

Robert Jordan of course.
But I'll try the Sword of Truth of Terry Goodkind, as it seems it's pretty apreciated here.

During the winter holidays I'll start one new serie and complete it over the 1 month holiday. Something of the order or WoT smile.gif...

Well, here's the list. The reason I said it was biased is because it includes only my top 10 authors. tongue.gif. Anyway, vote for your number one from this list. If you haven't read any of their numerous works then you are technically a heathen (and don't ask me why so because I don't answer to heathens wink.gif). Furthermore, as postulated by Mill, you should not be treated as human since you possess no rationality and thus are debased and idiotic biggrin.gif.

Anyway, before I go on this course of idle banter far too long, I would like to point out that if you absolutely must, you may (and see here, I actually give you permission) post your own favourite author if he/she is not listed.

It would also be nive to hear your reasoning behind your choice, such as: "OMFGZOR that book owns", or, if you possess more time on your hands and a shred of intelligence, something such as: "The superb imagery and dynamic plots intertwined with well formed and riddled subplots make this epic absolutely and unabashedly stand out from the rest".

My vote goes for: hmmm, actually difficult this one, I'll leave it a while longer during which time I'll give it a lot of thought.

Semi-heathen reporting ... I had to vote Tolkien because I have only read him and Pratchett from your list, and of the two, Tolkien wins out imo. Not sure I can honestly claim to have any remaining shreds of intelligence after a day in Diablo so I won't attempt any pretentious imagery or comments.

Suffice it to say that your post did make me chuckle and I have to admit that my curiosity has been piqued. This is clearly a genre I have overlooked to this point. Oversight corrected and the authors and recommendations have been added to extended reading list filed neatly in dusty in-tray under JSP updated price list biggrin.gif

or should I just stick with : Vouch ...OMFG reading GOZU's FTW ?

Then read the series by either of the two authors i mentioned, though i think the malazan book of the fallen is slightly better than song of ice and fire.
