Most of it is shit, I've only ever read one manga that I liked, and I've never seen that one for sale in England.
Go read a good book and express your opinion about HP and managa after doing that.

I voted for the half-blood prince. At the end of that book I literally was depressed for like 2 weeks. It was the book I connected with the most. Also it came after what I thought was the worst book The order of the phoenix.

just not really got my full attention

I've read them all and think they are all pretty good, J.K. Rowling has a great gift for writing, but I can say that Deathly Hallows was the best in my opinion. It really summed up things well (although the epilogue was weak). Unlike the last book in some series this one also had a good, thick plot, not just a bunch of explaining. I think the right things were chosen to be left unexplained, and the real crucial stuff was summed up well. The few things that we still don't know are nice because it lets you use your imagination, something are best left unaccounted for.
