Huge-Unit - nice mercenary band you have there happy.gif. Kimmuriel Oblodra and Artemis Enteri are my fav characters. Drizzt is a very good character but too good for my tastes.

R.A. Salvatore ftw. His series was my first sci-fi/fantasy series and I must say it was amazing. My first book was the Lone Drow, after I read that, I read all the books that came before it and the ones that came after and got a full taste of the Drizzt series. I love the way he writes, his characters, the unusual companionships such as Jarlaxle Baenre and Artemis Enteri. The best parts of the books are the action parts becuase their so well developed. The sword fights are in complete detail that i'm sure if I tried to replicate at home I would be able to do so. The best thing about this series is that from what I can see is their is no end in sight. It will keep going till he Salvatore dies. I've read a lot of reviews where people say that his books are boring and so forth, I don't understand their failed logic. Either way these books are great and deserved to be read by the majority of people who play this game.

I just finished reading the Orc King and I was baffled at the ending. I cannot wait for the next book to see how this new alliance will work out. I have a question though, the end of the book, how many years into the future is that? Also, is that where the Pirate King will start off from? All this is very interesting. I hope I did not ruin it for those of you who have not finished the Orc King yet.

I personally loved the books, they provide me with hours of enjoyment and at the end of teh day that is all I want form a fantasy book. I've read Icewind Dale twice, and just as most books one enjoys reading a book over is a good time.

As far as Salvatore being the best author ever I disagree. I mean I love his books but my vote for best author goes to Steinbeck, love his stuff a bit more.

I have finally completed the 14 book epic ( so far.. havent bought orc King yet)
Garunteed to be the best books you could read. obviously since your playing D2 you enjoi Fighting,magic and everyone running around backstabbing.
The Dark Elves are the supreme race of magic and intgriege.

edit: heres a book list for those that havent read them yet and might be interested.

I will read them.

Best author ever?

Yes... Lewis Carroll, H. P. Lovecraft, Edgar Allen Poe, Isaac Asimov, William Shakespeare, Stephen King, George Orwell, Aesop, Socrates, Mark Twain, Ernest Hemingway and Emily Dickenson all have nothing on Robert Anthony Salvatore. Fucking hack...

B= Win.

I hate Drizzt but R.A. is a great author.

Have you heard about the FR change that's supposed to happen when DnD 4.0 comes out?

FR=WoW soon. I'll look up some info.

R.A. Salvatore is a great author, but not the BEST EVER. Their lots of better authors, but he is one of my favorites to read. Do you have Drizzt the actual character? or just the books? Anyone know when the next book is coming out? Also.. has anyone read The Highway Man? It's another one of his books moving away from the Drizzt series, matter a fact, it takes place in a whole new world.
