ive been trying to read the first book in the Anita Blake sereis: Guilty Pleasures. But I wasn't captivated enough and I haven't picked it up in the last month or so. I think im half way through. Maybe Ill pick it up again sometime, right now im too busy

Yea I've seen that series around.. I was going to check it out one day but instead I went for I Hope they Serve Beer in Hell. Anyway, like others have stated before; Anne Rice is what you want to read if your looking for really thorough vampire novels.

ok I think ill look into them, so interview with a vampire is the first one I should start?

the vampire lestat wasn't made into a movie, but it was an excellent book.
the queen of the damned was a letdown, the movie was even worse.

Queen for the Damned was fucking horific, terrible movie. Books > movie anyday. I've not read Anne Rice in sometime, making me want to pick her up again.

lol yeah. i read the book and i thought it was bad, but the movie was so much worse that later it made the book look good.
