Crossroads of Twilight

Well... erm... I'm glad that book is done with. I enjoyed it for the most part but it was a little bit dry by comparison with the other books.

However, where the other books have a pleasant balance between build-up and action, this book was entirely build-up so I'm itching to read the next book in the series...

Which brings me nicely to the fact that I'm reading them in the order they were published and can't read the next one until I get through the prequel novel, the end of which also happens to be as far as I've read in the series... :wallbash:

The anticipation is palpable.

Prequel got nothing to really do with the series ;o It's about Moiraine and Lans' history ;>

Yeah but it's only 304 pages so I have no excuse not to read it haha. To be perfectly honest, I like Moiraine and I like Lan even more.

I think the reason I like Moiraine so much is because I disliked her early on but slowly came to like/respect her as the series and her character developed.

Lan is just straight badass. How can you not enjoy reading about a man that's been molded in to a weapon since birth?

Exactly the same reasons I got for liking both of them, lol!

True but I'd still read TWOT til the end (I'm still waiting for last book in pocket so I can buy it) and then read the prequel

Nice!

Anyways, I'm already finished New Spring. The nature of my job allows me to read while I'm at work.

The book was decent. The climax was exciting and it had a satisfying conclusion despite the fact that I could have said exactly what would happen even if I hadn't read it already. :P
