Finally finished the 4 Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy books, only to find out there's a 5th one...
So I guess I have to read "Mostly Harmless" next.

Right up until book 12.. Brandon Sanderson did a decent job with certain characters, however, he butchered Mat for me.

Anyhow, just finished Lies of Lock Lamora..  It was pretty good.

Kinda agree that. Though he still managed to have an excitement feel when he's in the Tower but before that it just felt meh... He did well with Perrin though. Never liked him before coz it's always Faile (correctly spellt?) this and Faile that....

Quick.  Somebody give me a suggestion for another book to read.

Shadowdance series by David Dalglish? Only red 2 books completely and half third. But so far so good I have to say :>

OT:

Been away for 2 weeks at my fathers place. So not been near my usual lair of books. But I bought two there and brought another one so here we go!

Stonewielder - Ian C Esslemont

Really good book. I bought the fist one Night of Knives at a secondhand book store and loved it. Stonewielder is the third book in the 'series' but they aint connected like that. Only the same world and perhaps the same characters ;> So gonna try and find the Second book Return of the Crimson Guard. And the fourth book Orb Scepter Throne.

The Paradise War - Stephen R. Lawhead

Decent book I guess. Not really my style of read but I borrowed it from my sister who said it was really good. But it was a good read overall. Slow start but got better I have to say ;>

The Last Four Things - Paul Hoffman

Second book in the series. I really liked first so bought second one because I was bored. Really good aswell and can definitely recommend them!

A Crown Of Swords

Oddly, I remembered little of this book from the last time I read it. Lots of very satisfying re-discoveries.

The Path Of Daggers

Shortest book in the series but fairly eventful. Jordan was usually pretty generous in counterbalancing the unfortunate events with favorable ones but this book had few favorable moments.

I kind of get the impression that this book was intended to be bleak though so It doesn't bother me much... I've also read the GoT books so I'm fairly desensitized to tragedy...

Winter's Heart

The ending of this installment being possibly the most important development for the protagonist after the past couple books being fairly ominous was... refreshing.

Isnt this the book where they exclude Mat from? As he got a wall over himself in Ebou Dar and got injured?

That would be The Path of Daggers.

In Winter's Heart he spends most of the book devising a plan to get out of Ebou Dar with 3 Aes Sedai while being crippled and having been made the queen's sex slave.

That's always the problem with reading an epic haha... That and remembering who's who. The sheer number characters involved in the politics that make the story what it is makes my head hurt sometimes.

Worst part is when they only describe the person in question and you have to rack your brain over it trying to figure out WHO it is >_<
