some wizards could set up spells to last after their deaths, like the protection spells at hogwarts

and maybe teds tonks girlfriend was on her way to hogwarts and he wanted to see her off? dunno but i think i read that he grew up with tonks mom and just spent alot of time with harry and the other order members

as far as spells lasting after death, some spells are like entitys, if not controlled right, they take on a mind of their own, hence how malfoys fat friend killed himself with his dumbass fire spell, and some spells last untill they are broken

Eh I'm pretty sure there is no way his fat friend could have casted that spell.
Even though it says he did.
He used to be really shit, and now he can do all these bullshit attacks.
I'm pretty sure he just hit some cursed object in the Room of Requirement.
