Hey you did well, you know I used to plot for a novel, but I gave up very soon. So I think if you can stick on , you can gain something more or less . Good luck.

I remember posting this like a month ago, and since then I've had so many more idea changes on the book, it's crazy. Don't currently have a stable plot although I'm writing more character histories/taking more in-detail notes.

As for Diablo 2 Being a novel, that's okay if you don't want to be original, but as for my novel, I want it to have a unique 'flavor' to it. Not the average Diablo 2 Script and whatnot.

My novel is long from being done, but I'm going to stick to it, I don't care if it gets published or not, its an acknowledgment just to know you've completed a piece of work that extensive.

Although... if it does get published that would be pretty damn kickass, no?

Thank you all for the posts. I am actually going to be a junior this coming year in highschool, so maybe it'll be done by my senior year or by the end of it, hopefully. At any rate I don't think it can be published if you're under 18 anyways, unless I'm mistaken?

just remember, alot of very good middle-aged authors wrote some of their best works in their teen years

Stephen king - The Dark Tower series (7 books)
Christopher Paolini - Eragon (other books are written a little later)

ya, thought id add that

I am planning a writing career that will begin in less than a year. My work will depend on my imagination. I am quitting my Ph.D. to follow my heart (and for political reasons), so I really hope it works out rofl.gif

The only influence from Diablo II I could see making it into my book would have to be the Dark Wanderer, although I see a lot of The Lord of the Rings (despite the ring) in Diablo. Although for my book, I am trying to make it as original as possible. The 'Dark Wanderer' will of course be in a different shadow, and I just think they're cool for darker characters.

For anyone else reading this, if you have any ideas for a dark character feel free to post.

Thanks for your interest in the book. Although, I don't want to reveal much about the plot only to say I don't own certain copyrights in which others may take up for grabs.. Also, I wouldn't want someone else to send me work for myself, as that would ruin the pleasure of self-accomplishment, and I would like to do character analysis/identity along with the book's history, mythology, and other important details necessary for the plot line. Thanks for any and all interest though. If you guys wish to post down your short stories down, by all means, be my guest! smile.gif

Speaking of Christopher Paolini, I'm at the end of his second piece of work of the Inheritance Trilogy. He has a very admirable writing style.

I hope to only be half as good as the above authors. biggrin.gif

Yes, I am in the works of writing a novel, I will not yet release any titles as of now as I do not own any copyrighted materials in relation to the titles. I am hoping my book will be published within the next 2-3 years. It is of fantasy genre, and has quite a lengthy plot. All I will say is it [as of right now] holds the undistinguished mind of a older elven character. An old man of sorts who has a shapely history. No more will be said.

Anyone else have any writing works in progress?

Discuss.

Ya i have a book in progress, but I'm actually serious about mine. It's currently about 65000 words. How far along are you?
