I thought issue 0,1,&2 of original sin were horrible, but 3 was pretty shocking.

I heard about AXIS too, but I didn't know Remender was writing it. His Uncanny X-Force was the shit, one of my favorite X-series.

Also, did you hear about Khal Drogo as Aquaman?

OMG, when I said Bendis's Uncanny X-Force run, I actually meant Remender. I always get those two mixed up for some reason... YES! I own All 35 issues + the two .1 issues. Seriously wish Marvel would put out a series like that every once in a while. It's soooo amazing. Honestly though, my all time favorite series is the 12 Issue run called Wolverine:The Best There Is. Totally NOT a huge Wolverine fan, but this series is INSANE! It's violent and graphic as shit! Marvel actually said they regretted it seeing print I think, because of how insanely violent it is, and how they don't believe it represents the standards Marvel is trying to live up to or some shit. It's seriously the most badass thing they've ever done. I don't want to spoil for you, because you definitely need to read it if you haven't already, but it's basically about this group of evil mutants that kidnap Wolverine and try anything and everything to find a way to kill him. Meaning the most obsurd and crazy methods imaginable for a mutant to do. Basically, they do to him... It's nuts. A truly amazing and eye pleasing experience. Again, REALLY wish Marvel would do more stuff like this... And I would ready more of their stuff.

Dam, that series brings back memories.

Sounds like you really like that kill-gore stuff, haha. Have you tried Garth Ennis' Punisher?

No, but I was gonna ask you if there was any other Marvel stuff that is comparable to that? I mean. They gore is great. But, it was the fact that it was attached to an awesome story that sold the whole thing for me.

If i'm not mistaken, the MAX line for Marvel is/was their violent stuff, but I don't have too much experience of it. If you get a chance, I'd check out at least the first version of Ennis' Punisher.

On a side note, I might start reading some DC stuff soon, but I haven't been too impressed with alot of the New 52 stuff.
I've read Geoff John's Aquaman and Greenlantern, Death of a Family, and Night of the Talon...I liked all of them, but have been iffy on the rest. Any other recommendations for the New 52 era?

I'll read anything by Scott Snyder except Batman Eternal because it's a collaboration with other writers and is a weekly. Aka it's a jumbled hot mess. Every Batman issue is amazing imo. So, the newest story arc to finish was Zero Year. And I don't know if you read Forever Evil, but that is good imo. Forever Evil 1-7 and Arkham War 1-6. Skip Argus and Rogues Rebellion 1-6, I don't think you would like those very much. Also, I think Trinity war is a 6 issue pre-requisite to Forever Evil containing 2 issues of each Justice League, JL: Dark, and JL: America. And after JL issue whatever it is for Trinity war, it jumps into the Tie-Ins for 'Forever Evil' up to Issue 30. Which have been really good. Read them in congruence with the Forever Evil Stuff. A lot of the story in the JL books are important and interesting. As far as other DC stuff, I don't have anything pulled atm. I gave up Eternal as I said it was awful, and I read the Jeff Lamire run of Green Arrow and wasn't impressed. Like I said, a lot of the good DC stuff was in the Animal Man/Swamp Thing conjoined story arc "Rot World" which you should be able to pick up as one trade I would think. That is a very awesome read. Also written by Scott Snyder and Jeff Lemire btw. Both are good friends and write very well together.

I'll let you know if I come across any new good DC titles, but for right now, as long as Scott Snyder is on Batman, I'm going to keep reading it. It's pretty amazing and he hasn't fucked up a story arc yet. It's actually DC's best selling series by a huge margin. Like I said though, I just read a lot of Indie stuff and am catching up on trades of old stuff I haven't read yet. I would highly recommend 'Preacher', 'Watchmen/Before Watchmen', 'American Vampire' (Still being published and written by Scott Snyder :D ), and Y: The Last Man.

I might try Batman I guess, I only really dabbled in a few story arcs form the New 52.

What are your thoughts of Geoff Johns writing Superman?

Never read his JL before, but I thought his Green Lantern wasn't bad.

Precher is insane. Truly a must read. Then I would jump to 'Y:The Last Man'. A lot of people were telling me to read that for the longest time, and I just kept putting it off and putting it off, until now. I am 3 trades in, of ten, and really wish I had read it sooner. It's pretty insane. Brain K. Vaughn is suuuuuch a good writer. He has an unreal knack for storytelling that is unique and always keeps you guessing.
