Any Shakespeare fans here?
I've read
Romeo & juliet
Hamlet
Julius caesar

Also gettin started with some theatre and I really like it... some times shorter than novels and more lively (obv)

The importance of being earnest oscar wilde
Waiting for godot
the real thing - tom stoppard

i will keep posting more if I get other responses !

As far as plays go, I've read:
Romeo and Juliet
Julius Caesar
Hamlet
Cat on a Hot Tin Roof
The Crucible

I feel like I've read more than just those 3 by Shakespeare, but they're all I can think of...

But I agree, plays are generally easier to read. If they're meant to be performed in a matter of hours, you can cut that time in half to read them. It's pretty nice.

Othello & King Lear are pretty good too

Yeah, theres a lot to read.. hehe

im studying english philology ^^

this semester got like, 15 plays to read and 5 books... roflmao :-C

this summer i got to read a good amount of books but next one i wanna get like 10 shakespeare plays and get into them, also i do have an ebook with makes it easier, i just need to find them in modern english ( just sometimes, hamlet turned big to me with all the wird grammar and such..) but i reallly enoyed it

now i gotta make 3 essays on, prose, poetry and theatre from 19centh

im thinking of importance f being earnest for theatre, but still need recommendatios for the other 2 !, if possible, short novel, or short story work too, its more about analyzing the play but all related, so doessnt need to be an oscar wilde 500 pages novel.. which atm, in english, would take me quite a while hehe

I think he means a play.
I didn't quite enjoy any of the plays I read, so I can't really suggest one xD

HMM, not quite sure. Never tried anything in that area, except perhaps the Iliad? But never finished it for some reason, and it's not exactly the same thing either so. Only ever read Fantasy really so :D

Tried some sci-fi aswell, like Ender's game and The Dresden Files Series by Jim Butcher.

I might actually give it a try tbh. I can't really say I know anything about the story except from what gets across in the Van Helsing movie which isn't a lot, to say the least ^^
