Perfect Shadow - Brent Weeks - a novel about Durzo Blints life, haven't actually read it myself yet but I can imagine it being good ;>

I don't know how I missed this thread when you first made it... But I'm going to look into some of the books you listed. (I'll also give some suggestions)

Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini -- My personal favorite series, and I've never heard anyone say bad things about it (except the movie...)
Ranger's Apprentice series by John Flanagan (Similar style to Percy Jackson, and a "coming of age" story where you're with the protagonist from the age of ~12 to 20's)
Codex Alera by Jim Butcher - I actually just finished this series and it was awesome. Also a coming of age story, but a bit more mature. It's awesome.
Warrior Heir (and following books) by Cinda-Williams Chima (or something like that). Another one of my favorite series.

In conclusion, read Eragon if you haven't yet xD

Check out the league series also by sherrilyn kenyon. Those books are some of the best I've read.
