Also, I don't know how interested you are in historical fantasy, but Bernard Cornwell writes some epic medieval stories. His battle scenes and knowledge of medieval warfare are amazingly realistic.
It's not really fantasy, as it's a bit more realistic, but they are awesome medieval adventures nonetheless!

Not actually tried any historical fantasy like that I guess, perhaps Prince of Thorns is kinda one? But still not in the same sense.

I would recommend almost any book by R.A. Salvatore. Almost all of his books have that setting

That's one annoying colour font ^^ Should swap to something easier to read ;>

Read 7-11 books from R.A Salvatore. Taking them slowly coz I gotta borrow from the local library ><

Anything by Christopher Moore. I really liked The Island of the Sequined Love Nun. There were several moments where the book made me laugh out loud.
