I have this idea and another idea. Here is the other idea:

There are a race of humans called the Dileen. . They live on an island in the Bermuda Triangle. They live away from the humans and anyone unlucky enough to cross them never lives to tell the tale. They are like humans except faster and stronger. They used to have magical powers, however over the course of many generations they have outgrown them. Those who are born with certain gifts are drafted into their military immediately. They live a simple, structured and disciplinary lifestyle. However, to the north of their island lives the dragons. Magical beings, enormous in size. They were two races of dragons. The Lareen, and the Muln. The Muln were able to communicated, and were magical, the Lareen on the other hand were not very intelligent and were basically animals.

There was a huge war between the Dileen and the Muln. Which ended up wiping out all of the Muln. Now the Dileen are in a crisis, they are facing a three-way war between them, the Lareen and the humans. They must find some way to put a stop to this conflict before it's too late.

Don't know which one to start writing about.

Note: This is mostly for my own entertainment.

I find that insulting to the ideas of dragons, they are magical by nature, and very intelligent... though I think the second story is a little more original than the first one... also since the dileen are stronger/faster/magical, why dont u make them a new race(not human, u can make it up).

I meant to mean it like: They are a race of people that are different than humans.

In appearance, you'd think they're humans, but if you actually talked to them, interacted, you would tell they are something different.

I agree, but dragons could be animals as well.

I started to write a little of the beginning:

The Dileen – Chapter 1
It was a bright morning in Naerkiin, birds were singing as the sun unleashed warmth upon the island. The island was awakening from its temporary slumber. One boy, however, was still fast asleep. Daylight streamed through Karma’s window as he slept in. His mother would soon be awake and getting him up for school. Today was no ordinary day, for today was Karma’s fourteenth birthday.
“Rise and shine sleepy-head,” came a voice from outside of Karma’s room. Karma groaned and turned over as his mother entered the room. “Happy birthday, Karma!”.
Karma sat up and found a pleasant surprise, breakfast in bed. He thanked his mother groggily, “Thanks, mom.”
Birthdays were no ordinary celebration in Naerkiin, at least, not thirteenth birthdays. For that was when they would discover if they were to be sent off to the Military Academy – or MA for short - for four years, or if they could stay in the city, and get an education.
Most Naerkiinians were sent off if the inherited the ability to activate Auras. Auras allowed them to change into a state of power, their whole body glows and they radiate power. Over time they learn to hone this ability and use it to their advantages; turning raw energy into attacks, and even more advanced techniques like teleporting or shape shifting.
The King of Naerkiin – he was only known by his title – was the headmaster of the MA. He was a wise old man, if the rumours are true he was born many centuries ago. His rule over Naerkiin was stern yet kind. Nobody knows what his true powers are but it is said his Aura is one of explosive-nature. There was only one know battle that he fought in, the final battle of the war against the dragon, The Battle of Naerkiin.
