I'd be reluctant to pay a standard book price from someone who I'd never heard about, but I suppose if the writing style was good and the content suited me well, I'd certainly consider it if it was a reasonable price, like $2 as you suggest.

From what you have told us thus far, no, absolutely not.

You should elaborate on the "Epic fantasy" part. Take examples. Like, inspired by? Doesn't need to be highly descriptive. What authors is he inspired by in the writing style, world, etcetera.
