that is not true, i like it for the creativity and much more, its not just about sex and lust but also about companionship, romance, friendship, and much more... so before u judge a book by its cover maybe you should actually READ it before saying anything cause it doesnt really say anything about the sex in the series >_<

i just started this series and its different from what i'm used too
it's so much ....more real and bloody lol or at least that's what i get from the first 5 pages

It gets better as you read more, book six is where it turns more sexual than violent but still keeps that realism.
Just imagine a world where every mythological creature is real and just as fucked up as the rest of us.
IFC Films was going to come out with a series based on the books but it fell through, which is probably a good thing because IFC would've probably killed the series.

You should also look into the comic book series.
So far guilty pleasures and the laughing corpse have been adapted into fully illustrated graphic novel series, with circus of the damned on the way.

how could the tv show have sex scenes it'd be lame pg-13 or non-explicit sexual content which is nothing like the book? I assume I haven't gotten tahttt far yet

Not necessary =D after all they do show some sex scenes in Trueblood (from the Sookie Stackhouse Series) btw i've just updated my hubpages on this series if you want some understanding if you are confused in parts of the books
