I'm thinking of getting one too...
Do you have to modify your kindle so it can take torrented .pdf's and whatnot, or do you just drag/drop through the computer?

kindle will read pdf, mobi, and azw. if you have torrented any epub or such format, the free conversion program calibre will convert to mobi or w/e, though most all books coming out nowadays will have a mobi format available already.

I stand by the age-old argument of needing to hold a book in order to enjoy it. Like someone else said, I just enjoy the feel and smell. I also love the satisfaction of returning home from a semester at school and walking into my room that contains a bookshelf filled with all the books I've read. It's satisfying, at least for me.

I don't know, to each his own, but I may also be biased since I'm a die hard supporter of print circulation.
