Na, but i've been wanting to check Fante out for a long time - just couldn't find a book of his in any bookstore here yet. I'll def. do that, thanks for reminding :)

You've seen him read poems live, right? They have videos on YouTube.

Also, if you ever get the chance see the movie Barfly (if you haven't already). Bukowski wrote the screenplay and it incorporates a lot of the prevailing themes of his writing/thinking.
