Historical Fiction. Very well written. But not for the faint of hear. Brutal. Might as well be non-fiction, really--with its descriptions.

dune is pretty much fantasy, so idk if you'd like it


but read some michael crichton, or james rollins both sci-fi authors

you might try the emberverse series

its a fiction, and basically its like theres this global flash of light and then all electronics and gunpowder stop working, instant throwback to the 1400s, except for the massive populations


you follow around several factions thru medieval-type wars with some 20'th century twists (hang gliders, weaponry made from hardened leaf springs, the use of rail cars, etcetera)


its a very intereting series about survival and war and whatnot
