Wow wow wow, hang on just a second there, hold on your horses.

HARRY POTTER is certainly NOT one of the best work of literature ever written. The fact that it has been popular is mainly because of a solid marketing startegy and a story that seems to reach out into people's imaginations.

The style of writing, the narration, the plot, the figures of speech, everything about it is fairly simple. True, there is a certain je-ne-sais-quoi about simplicity, but it most certainly is not a telltale sign of greatness smile.gif.

I just came back in actually. The fresh air did some good, and now I'm back wink.gif.

And for your information, I don't think I was even debating, I was merely stating a truth, a truth so close to the Form of Truth (as expolated by Plato) that none can not see it as it is smile.gif....

To each his own. I can't be a great judge since I am an avid fan of WoT. What do Wot fans know eh? smile.gif.

i agree Minime1113, it is a very well thought out universe, possibly one of the greatest worlds created on paper. the writing style is meant for less than adult readers, yet is very addictive. i just wish they would quit saying "brilliant" every ten pages...what im saying is; great books, probably not the best literary style, but id put the creativeness up there with tolkien, (maybe a shelf below). just my opinion.

Ghost writers work wonders.

I doubt this to an extreme.

Hmm.. Im not sure if book 7 is gonna be very good.. I really liked 1-4 but 5 & 6 sort of bored me a bit. She better not kill everyone off though :/ That would be real dissapointing after such a long wait

oh wow really? I gotta say 4,5,6 have been some of the better ones, but number 4 was crazy good, I actually felt I was right there with harry and cedrick, so sad hah.
