Further you read into the Vampire Chronicles though, you realize most of the male vampires are homosexuals.

Gotta hand it to Eddy, even though he's a sparkle emo closet fag, he still stuck with a chick. :\

Edit: Yes, I've read the entire Twilight series and also the Vampire Chronicles. I read the Twilight series at the request of my girlfriend. First book good, rest crap.
