Historical fiction? Does stuff like the Odyssey count? I like that kind of stuff, which is loosely accurate to history with strong fictitious undertones.
Sure, although already went through both the Odyssey and Iliad ;\

The Last King "Romes greatest Enemy"- Micheal Curtis Ford. I loved this Historical Fiction, Based around 100bce-80ce, Is a story of Pontus a small country on the northern peninsula of modern day turkey. King Mithridates has to big of balls for how big his country is.. Basically fucks around with the Romans for his entire Life just causing them annoying loss after loss. Good Character development, Good Story, And Especially amazing because its against the Romans

This seems very relevant to my interests. Will probably be making a trip to the library shortly.
Basically to specify what I'm looking for:
Sci-Fi : Has to be well written, nn average shit with overdone plots or cliches. Preference for time-travel and/or different dimension stories, but obv needs to have really interesting character/plot development and smooth transitions. Characters need to act somewhat realistically too, it kinda kills it for me if they don't. Major bonus if interesting/philosophical questions are posed.
Historical Fiction : Pretty much anything as long as it's some combination of interesting/creative/well written.
For anyone else who is strongly into this shit, I recommend the Axis of Time trilogy by John Birmingham.
