I'm guessing you have read books by Hunter Thompson? If not pick up Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail, 1972. It was one of the last I read of his, really funny and interesting book. I had already read his other books and never got around to this one for some reason but I'm glad I did. But if you haven't read any HST books, pick up Hells Angels: A Strange and Terrible Saga or Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas: A Savage Journey to the Heart of the American Dream, this being his most known and favorable reads.

Christopher Moore books are great. Its absurdist/comic fiction.

very entertaining.

Read them in order. Characters are reoccurring so it helps to read the first to last.
