I think you should continue reading the books. The worst thing that can happen is that you wasted your time on something more productive than alot you could have wasted it on.

I want to reread the series myself, but I don't find the 2 first books

i've read the seriers twice.
Love it.
The final book will be released in 3 smaller book volumes, i believe that one comes out end of this year.

definately keep reading these, they get a little slow in the middle books, but they really pick up again.
