I was just wondering what everyone's five favorite books were. I'm attempting to try new genres of books ( I'm mostly into classics and teens, atm.)

Mine are

1. Pride and Prejudice
2. Emma
3. Wuthering Heights
4. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (Best one, I cried myself to sleep after I read it.)
5. Blue is for Nightmares

Have fun and thanks <3

If you're looking for something new and different, try Choke, Lullaby, or Survivor by Chuck Palahniuk

Atlas Shrugged
The Fountainhead
Catch 22
Sherlock Holmes
The Hobbit

If you're a philosophy buff with time on your hands I recommend the first two.

Want something out there? Then Catch 22

Sherlock if you like to think.

I enjoyed The Hobbit much more than any of the Lord of the Rings series, just couldn't get into them.

I tend to read a lot of older books. Nothing new peaks my interest (except for some recent zombie novels i.e. World War Z, Dying 2 Live, and Monster Nation).

The Hobbit was a way easier read, but it was still a good story.

Honestly can't do an individual book list as I read to many series, will have to make do with these

1. The Lord Of The Rings - Tolkien.
2. Dune (series) - Frank Herbert (add ons by Brian Herbert & Kevin J Anderson).
3. Incarnations Of Immortality - Piers Anthony.
4. Discworld - Terry Pratchett.
5. Shannara - Terry Brooks.

2. My Antonia - Willia Cather
3. Wuthering Heights - Emily Bronte
4. Ender's Game - Orson Scott Card
5. Of Mice and Men - John Steinbeck

Fuck the Harry Potter series. I love the books myself, but it shouldn't be on anyone's top 5...unless your into children books.

It doesn't matter if you don't read alot...You could read those over and over again and never get bored.
