I like King all right, but damn. The self-insertion stuff was painfully lame in book 6, but when he actually killed Jake while reenacting his accident with the van, I yelled FUCK YOU and threw the book at the wall.

I've read a bunch of his books. It was probably one of my favorite reads though.
