my question is. Why didn't that balrog have wings? Melkor's balrogs clearly have wings, and are not as powerful as Durin's Bane. there are inconsistencies in Tolkien's work, can you guys find any? :}

sure, if only there was marketing for the other books besides the three, you would see why Tolkien is a great writer. if anyone actually read the other books from the history of middle earth, the 3 and the hobbit looks like nothing in comparison.

Books are sure better, and i kind of liked lotr, but im no way close to fanatic about them.

One of my fav books are Saving private ryan, was even good as a movie also imo, but the book was ofc better.

here, ive got all of tolkien's early works, read the lotr and the hobbit multiple times, aswell as the silmarillion and the three books of lost tales ( in french).
