George RR Martin's Song Of Ice and Fire is absolutely fantastic, though very rude(despite its stereotypical name )

"Ender's Game" and "Ender's Shadow" (the two books are the same exact story, but viewing it from a different character's perspective - there are 4 books on each side (8 total)

are all 8 books the same story from 8 different perspectives?

Where should I start? Is there an order or are they like independent of each other?

Also I forgot to mention I really liked the Wheel Of Time series so that can give you an idea as to what I like.

I also liked the Gunslinger series and The Voyage of the Jerle Shannara was pretty cool too.

Light Fantastic would be the book to start from. They are not really in an order, and they are rather independant of each other, but its allways good to know some history. Read them in the order they came out.

Terry Pratchett:
Discworld novels

R.A. Salvatore:

Legacy of Drizzt Do'Urden
Sellswords Trilogy

Ed Greenwood:
Elminster Series

Elayne Cunningham:
Songs and Swords series

I'd have to recommend that as well, one of my series of all time. IMO, start off with Ender's Game, I think you'll get acquainted with the series faster.

Perspective 1
1. Ender's Game
2. Speaker for the Dead
3. Xenocide
4. Children of the Mind

Perspective 2
1. Ender's Shadow
2. Shaddow of the Heggemon
3. Shaddow Puppets
4. Shaddow of the Giant

Having read Ender's Game first, I considered Ender's Shaddow to be much more of a sideshow/add-on book due to its success.
