it teaches you about life and good and evil.
most believe battle of good and evil is stan vs god...it can also be between us mortals

also the giver cause it teaches young kids abotu the basics of poltics and government

At the moment, my favourite is Millenium by Stieg Larsson. (Tome 1 to 3)
Why?
It takes place in our present, the writing style (even translated) is so vivid you can't live the book on its own and the characters are pretty unique on their own....

Shame the author died a few years ago...
