Also R.A Salvadore(unsure on spelling) Magic the Gathering is a good series as well, if I can think of more I will make sure to let you know blank spot at the moment.

Garth Nix - Sabriel, Lirael, Abhorsen. GREAT books! Really great! That's 3 volume trylogy, about magic, undeads and evil.
Robin Hobb - Assassin's Apprentice (and futher volumes) - also very nice book.

I would also recommend few polish books, if anyone want. Dont know if there is a translation...

But! Jakub Wędrowycz, the main character from Andrzej Pilipiuk's stories is the best book ever read smile.gif
It's about Self-taught exorcist, who love *good* alcohol and his mare*
But im worry it is only in polish language.
