Old news... and yes WoT is amazing I've read the series like 3 times  and once the twelvfth book comes out I'll re-read it again... although my only worry is that because of Jordan dieing and have a new writer that it will have a different feel to it.

Jordan's wife who helped edit his novels has selected the author who will be finishing the series. I don't remember his name, but I don't remember being horrified at the name either. She will also (obviously) have a huge role in how it is written. From what I understand, Jordan (not his real name btw) had planned out the final book but just never completed it. So, the author who finishes it will have Jordan's notes to go off of.

Considering the books she had a hand in editing (aka, not the earlier ones), I'm astounded you think this is a good thing. She was either godawful at her job or her conflict of interest made her awful at that particular job. Seriously, a bad editor would've taken 500 pages and made it 300. A proper editor would've take that 500 and trimmed it down to 50. There was that much filler and fluff in those later books.

this isnt like a news story, ppl read fantasy to explore another world,
if nothing else, the length helps familiarize you more completely with ppl and place.

i hated when stories ended lawls
