Please, tell me that was irony sleep.gif

Anyway another senseless topic. There is no such thing like best book ever... It depends on ones taste and everybody likes different kind of books. Thats why you cant say which book is best, but you can say which is not, and that you can say for sure about those infantile Harry Potter and Eragon books...

irony (FIGURATIVE SPEECH)
noun [U]
a means of expression which suggests a different, usually humorous or angry, meaning
source: Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dictionary

No, I think the word I used was appropriate. Read again the whole "conversation" and stop posting your useless comments. Thanks.

No thanks. The way you used it wasn't right in that sense, the word you would have wanted was sarcasm.

This made me lol.

haha yeah since you probably preffered Harry potter tongue.gif

No harry potter is over rated.

We can see that in your opinion neither Eragon nor Harry Potter are best books of all time as I posted in my post, but this is not the point, lets go further

Now we can see statement quite difficult to understand. Especially that this sentence has an error. How a book may be a litereary genius? Or maybe a hero of a book, boy named Eragon is a literary genius? I would say that author of this statement havent read all posts in the thread and didnt know you dont think Eragon is a great book and still put it in bad words.

You also didnt know what this guy wanted to say. Anyway, I would say he didnt actually think what he wrote, so in fact, in his opinion Eragon isnt literary genius (whatever it means :S). There are no emotikons, so I may only guess, what were this guy feelings (probably this was +1, but yeah, whatever), but from Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dictionary defnition you can see, that irony may be both humorous or angry so its quite possible that it matches the situation (only neutral is left, which in fact doesnt also match 'sarcasm' statement). I hope you see, that I didnt make a mistake. Probably word sarcasm would be also good, but it is up to me which word I use in my post, right? Thanks for attention and gl in finding your +1s.
