I just finished the godless world trilogy starting the bartimaeus trilogy.

Just finished the Dresden Files series by Jim Butcher. Urban fantasy following a wizard PI just trying to pay the rent, which blows up to epic proportions.

I've been meaning to read Storm Front. It's high up on my to-read list.

Everyone I talk to who has read them says they are great.



This one is a classic.

Storm Front is a great first book, and really leans into the Noir vibe. I won't give any spoilers by saying this, but if/when you start the series, the first four books stay in the vein of the detective noir style with the twist of the character being a wizard, but after that, the series expands into a larger plot with many more moving pieces. It's done really well, in my opinion, and doesn't lose its soul in the process. Highly recommend.
