I think that this series is the best series he or anyone else has ever writen i've read it about 10 times over and still can't get my head around the amazing amount of thought he must have put in to produce such a fine book. i read the first book when i was 11 and so i didn't really understand all the themes through out but enjoyed it anyway and now i obviously understand it much better and its still an amazing story...

King has written in the dark tower series about some of his other books for example salems lot ( Pere Callahans story) have you bothered reading through those aswell because if you haven't its so worth it you can understand more hidden meanings in what is said in some of his dark tower books

he really is an amazing writer and I wish there were more like him.

Its strange for me that none person in any of threads about Stephen Kings books in this forum mentioned about book "Insomnia". Its not a horror and not really a sf or fantasy book, rather psychological one I guess. Anyway, Ive found it rather interesting and for sure worth mentioning here, because there is a lot of stuff related to DT series, for example fight of the main character of the book with crimson king.

Yeah, there is a list of about 19 books(or is it exactly 19?!) that all relate to the dt series. Including: salem's lot, IT, Hearts in Antlantis, Insomnia, The Talisman, and Black House

OK, so I finally got around to finishing this series. Soooooo good, and I totally didn't see that ending coming! biggrin.gif

Now I'm going to be comparing all the other fantasy novels that I read to this... oh dear. sad.gif

I'm on the 4th one. Second time reading through the series. Recommendation for people who want a day from their life back: Skip the middle of Book 3 (After they draw Jake) and come back when they get on Blaine.

Personally I have never read this series... well the first 50 pages of the first book... but my roomate says it i simply amazing and whenever I get some time to just sit around and read I believe I will start reading them.

Perhaps its just me but from the first bit of the first book it seemed a lot like Kill Bill to me (not the story or anything or Kill Bill, just the chaos and violence).
