Doran Martell's father and mother (Or at least their names) aren't mentioned in the books.

Lewyn Martell is Doran's uncle, i.e. his mother's brother.

Anyhow, the only king in the Seven Kingdoms is the king on the Iron Throne, below him are the Great Houses (Among them House Martell).. The ruling lords of House Martell style themselves "Prince" and "Princess", though they're not in (Immediate?) succession for the Iron Throne.

If you wish to know how the hereditary titles work, you can probably just look up the English laws/rules as A Song of Ice and Fire is based off the War of the Roses.

if the martell is not related to the throne therefore they have no right to be called prince/princess
