was it worth it? i heard it got boring in book 4

it never gets boring, its by far the best book series ive ever read

I didn't like it from the start, but I heard it's really good from most people. But you should read the books and not watch the series coz series always fucks up with the story

is digital version on google play books same as paper version?

They're awesome and much better than the tv serie ( which is kinda cool tho )

The TV show is incredibly good even compared with the books, but due to their format cannot have the depth that the books allow.

I've read them and they are worth it. The fourth and fifth book are different in tone, but still have the same quality.

Book 4 is where people feel that the series falters. But I do not.

It's true that there are less swords stuck into throats and crotches in book 4. But we don't read books to see swords stuck in crotches (that's what we watch TV for... all that wonderful crotch swording action). We read books for dialogue, character development, a look into a person's psychology during dramatic events, etc. And it doesn't waver in this regard. GRRM's style remains just as strong as it has in the other books.

Book 5 does annoy me a bit in a few places. But worry not, plenty of swords are stuck in crotches in that book.

Books 2, 4, and 5 I read slower than the rest. Not boring so much, but slow. I think if I reread the series I'd enjoy it just as much if not more since having watched the show.
And watching comicbookgirl's stuff on youtube really gave me a lot of insight into things I forgot or missed while reading the books. Check this vid out for example. It's an in depth history of the Targaryens. There's also one for the Lannisters.

But god, the 3rd book was amazing. I'm hoping/thinking book 6 and 7 will be like that. I read that book in 3 days. Couldn't put it down.
