Was it just me or was the eragon book 100x better then the movie. Something about the LONG ass journey in the book made it worthwhile. Just seemed to fast in the movie.

the movie was terrible, this series had the potential to generate alotta income for the movie industry, not as much as lord of the rings, but a definate shitload. they rushed it, used a shitty producer and completey deviated from the actual story.. so many bullshit changes that really ruined it for me

i could go on and on... dont even get me started on Angela thats her name? im stoned right now so lol.. shes supposed to be like an old alchemist/witch.. its some 19 year old hot ass girl ( dont get me wrong, always enjoyable.. but its not what its supposed to be)

the only thing i felt the movie did well.. was the Rah'zac. they were exactly how i thought they should be.

also are the urgals supposed to just be basically savage vikings? my impression was they were a completely different race and that the Kull especially were like 12 foot motherfuckers

oh and jeremy irons was a good choice for brom. arent to many other people i think woulda fit

Sigh. they pretty much just skimmed the book, took a few events out of it, stuck it in a movie (in the wrong order of events might i add), and sold because the book was incredible so people assumed the movie would be good. I actually left the theater when i went to see it because of how bad it was. I didn't want to see too much of it to ruin the experience of reading and imagining what the characters look like yourself. i give it a .5/10. The .5 is for trying.

I agree with you 100%, I've yet to read the second one yet though, about to borrow it from a friend though, he told me the second one was way better, so I'll soon find out

The books > movie - When i watched the movie, it seemed like if i blinked my eye i would miss a huge part of it. BLINK sapphira hatched BLINK sapphira went into sky as a baby then came back down a huge dragon. And the story line was all fucked up. The urgals looked like bikers with dirt all over lols.
