I heard rumors that J.K. Rowling was going to kill off alot of the main characters, so that when she dies, no one can continue writing her books.

Anyone else heard this?

You can buy the rights for it from the publisher after she dies though, unless if she makes a deal with them before hand.

And she already said that she wont continue on after the 7th book.

It would be a great marketing strategy, but if she did kill off the main characters, a very large reader base (kids, young teenagers, and even a fair few adults) would find it a poor ending for such a phenomenally successful series...

not unless its an unbeleavably good ending where they all die in some sort of freak magic accident where harry blows the entire universe up when he 1 day gets a dose of the flaming shits! thats good reading... 20 pages on why the toilet paper should be kept in the freezer for this paticular affliction...10 pages on him just going 'OOOOH AAAAH UUUGHGHHRRR *groans for 10 pages straight*' ....id buy that book!

And there I thought you had taste happy.gif. Actually, come to think of it, I wouldn't mind Harry getting killed off, and then it'd be up to Ron to save the world. That'd be more of a Barry Trotter plot though smile.gif.

I can't wait for the 7th book, Harry potter is some of the best work of literature ever written, I love it...
I will miss that book...
what's the harm in going on after 7 books? What about life after Hogwarts..?
