Got it for Christmas and its pretty hard to read. Just wondering if it gets any easier?

It's an overall good read, read it in class and wasn't all too bad.

Beginning is somewhat boring but it gets better wasn't a terrible read but not the greatest either.

IIRC it does get really good at some point, like the others have said. And also, I did read it back in HS

My wife is an english teacher and she HATES that book lol.

She reads a LOT so I trust her opinion enough to post it.

read it in hs. yes slow start and can be confusing but its decent.

we were supposed to read it sophomore year of high school, but i only read a little bit of it. i usually hate, which ends with me not reading the book, when i am forced to read a book for school. however, after the book was over and we discussed it a bit, it seemed like it would be fairly interesting. i got a borders gift card for christmas, so i plan on using that to buy and "reread" this book. some people like it, while others hate it. it's one of those kind of things, so it depends on you.

I read it in my junior year of high school. I found the book interesting. It is famous for several reasons after all. It's difficult to pick out all of the symbolism though.

it was a hard ass read I made it through but understood maybe half of the context.
