I read for school too, decent book about what the times where like back then -about tolerance and expectation, black, white, right, wrong, etc.

sad story yet very representative of the era it was written in. I read it waht seems an age ago and about the only quote I can recollect, although it might not be verbatim, is: "shoot all the bluejays you want, but remember, it is a sin to kill a mockingbird."

yea I read it in school as well and all I wanted to do was get it over tiwh, but now that I think about it that was an excellent book and had many symbolic parts to it
