Tamron 15-30 for $1240 + half taxes (6%). Free s&h
Tamron 24-70 for $1140 + half taxes (6%). Free s&h

Comes with proper warranty, not grey market. Sold by a reputable dealer (Camera Canada).

Which do I pick? I want both. >_<;

I'm thinking the 24-70 is what I truly want, but there's lots of copy variation out there. Maybe I wait on that. I already have a 50 and an 85. The 15-30 doesn't seem to have copy variation issues, and it's touted as the greatest UWA zoom lens currently. I just might order it tomorrow.

I think I may order the lens today, and sell a couple things (maybe my SB-700 flash) later, to offset the purchase cost.

There won't be a better price in the 15-30.

Then I'll have my focal lengths covered:

15-30, 50, 85, and 150-600

Hoping for a clear starry night.

I might have to spend $175 on a 6-stop or 10-stop ND filter though, which is a pain of an expense. Found a DIY guide on turning a sponge into a 150x150 filter holder for the lens.
