I'm looking into the Zeiss Distagon 35 f1.4 Canon mount and possibly picking it up. Read some good things about it but if anyone has experience with it and how it compares to Canons 35L post up!

Autofocus isn't a necessity for me which is why I'm considering it.

I'd pass on the Canon and make the choice between the Zeiss and the new Sigma 35 1.4!

Personally I'd take the Sigma, which is what i will be doing soon

Oh nice, great comparison. I may be leaning more towards the Sigma now as well.

I owned the zeiss when I was shooting canon, I can't compare it to other lenses. Yet I can safely say it was one of the best lenses I have ever owned. It's 3d pop characteristic always amazed me, in fact I miss it so much, I now shoot leica and bought a 35mm biogon hoping it would recreate the look and feel but was disappointed.
