I got rid of my 16-85 f3.5-5.6 vr Nikon lens. I like lenses that serve a more focused purpose... Kit lenses bother me, at least on dx. Got 440 for it... Not buying a replacement (I'm without a wide lens now but when I do that I'll get a dedicated wide that can go wider than 16mm).

Glad I got rid of that thing... Lost about 300 net.

Certainly. Oh well. At least I managed to sell it: it took 2 months of being up for sale to get rid of it.

So you sold it because kit lenses bother you? lol

At least it could have been useful for you until you get the wide angle you want. Unless you found yourself not using it AT all.

That's a great lens and very well built... but if you dont use it, ya dont use it

I'm on the same page with you with kit lenses, but out of all of them, this one is my favorite.
