So I've always wondered how to edit my pictures to get such detail like these pictures:

Like how can I make my photos have that type of fine clarity on photoshop? Im more after how they make the cement/backgrounds so fine and lifelike.
Like around some areas they are able to darken them a bit etc.

I already know how to use a camera and what bokeh is etc. Just need help with PS. All I do is mess around with camera raw on cs5 and move sliders LOL

I dont know much but if someone can teach me how to edit like that I'd be more than happy to tip you guys

Imo the last two don't look too great (good lighting but that's it). The first two look nice though.

A circular polarizing filter might help. He's bringing a lot of detail out across the board (in the sky which would normally be a little more blown out, and in the darks). Doesn't seem to be shooting HDR. A fair bit of Lightroom edits will help as well (might want to YouTube up this). Here's the first link I found (there's tons more by looking it up on YouTube): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HMUpjozJO1c. I'm pretty sure he's using a filter of some sort but I could be completely wrong. Here's another car photography editing link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VvtR-62aD7Y

Proper use of diffused flash can also help with a lot of types of shots. Also note that he's shooting 10mm on a D7000. That perspective is pretty wide and will add to the effect (as I assume you know based on your post). Just note that the vignetting might be pretty important to those two shots in particular. The last two just look like they're shot in good lighting (maybe a flash was used), with a moderate telephoto focal length. Not a lot of editing would go into those two.

Shoot raw, lower the exposure, fill light, higher contrast and higher clarity

That will get you that look on a photo in a fast and easy way

Thanks learned alot from that first video and I think ill get a polarizing filter. Thinking about selling my 24-105L 4.0 for something wide around 11-35 range with at least a F2.8.

Played around a bit with exposure placements and this is my first try. I know its a shitty PS but its a start

Got your PM. Thanks by the way :)

Don't sell your 24-105mm lens unless if you really know you want to do that!!

Hopefully my response to your PM went through. Your inbox was full but I'm not sure if it went through (since I sent two pm's, second one was redundant).

First two look like they just used heavy vignetting and the others are done with a longish lens and shallow depth of field.

No real photoshop trickery.

All of this can be accomplished without photoshop.

Its just a shallow DoF

Ya you can mess with vignetting as stated above but yeah, its all about how its shot.
