Flying Fox Yacht in Kos island Greece harbour
Pic was 1st try to make a panoramic photo, I tried only with 2 picks to merge since I had some problems
Nikon D3200, 18-55mm kit lense.

Not bad for just starting off.
Is that Orion in the sky pics?

One tip I have is to use a different site to host. It seemed to load awfully slow for me. imageshack or flickr is the way to go IMO

Yes its Orion. Do you see some black "rows" in the 1st nightsky pic? Or it shows like that on my computer?


And yes you are right there, nikon website doesnt look convenient and fast.

Future uploads will be most propably on flickr


offtopic question, should I buy filter for 35mm 1.8 prime lense? Or it doesnt need any?

I have a polarizing filter for my 35mm prime but I rarely use it. I wouldnt bother unless you want a particular filter for a certain shot (Infrared, ND, polarizing). UV is probably a waste unless you expect to be in harsh conditions and want to protect your glass a bit.

get an ND filter or polarizer filter, it will enable you to do slower shutter speeds in the day or use wider apertures, greatly improving your creativity options!
