Do any of you guys use Film Slr apart from Digital Dslr?

Found this Canon EOS rebel X 35 mm film just wondering if film photography is dead.

Film photography is as dead as the VCR is to the DVD.

It has its purposes, people often have a collection of VCR tapes they want to watch, but in the end, it's still dead technology. There'll be those who adamantly argue on the contrary and get flamed up about it, and point to the fact that the experience is wonderful, but in the end... it's still old technology. Pleasant, fun, interesting, and old. Pretty much dead.

But ya there's always a crowd for every niche activity.

I do quite a bit of film, for the joy of it.
And it is indeed as you say, the experience is wonderful. :)

Haven't shot film in almost 10 years! I used 35mm, 6x7 and 4x5 sheet.

It's a great tool for learning how to expose and compose your images without relying on machine gunning a digital camera. It separates the boys from the men, so to speak :)

If you're just an amateur doing it for kicks then go for it. It can be a great and inexpensive way to learn.

film is fun and for me captures more memories, with digital you can just spray and prey but on film you only have one chance to capture a moment
